Question 2

What is conflicool for?

Accepted Answer

Parties in conflict often feel stuck. They know that their dispute needs to be resolved, but are reluctant to initiate legal proceedings. Effective alternatives, which are encouraged by law, exist and have many advantages.

conflicool has therefore been launched with the ambition to make mediation an appropriate rather than an alternative mode to justice. And this, for a great number of conflicts which could be solved more quickly, at lower cost and more serenely than in long trials.

Thanks to our community of more than 150 accredited mediators, from the most renowned training schools and law firms, and our digital platform, we facilitate access to alternative forms of conflict resolution in three steps:

- We explain to you, free of charge, the best ways to resolve your conflict amicably
- If you wish, a free meeting between the parties can be organized with a neutral third party
- The parties decide together if they wish to continue the discussions with this neutral third party

Question 3

Why did you call the platform "conflicool"?

Accepted Answer

Because conflicool supports a cool, relaxed yet highly professional approach to conflict resolution.

Question 4

Where do conflicool mediators and lawyers come from?

The impartial selection of the accredited mediator shall be made on the basis of the language of conflict, its subject area and the location of the parties.

It should be noted that once a mediator has been selected as a possible candidate for appointment in a dispute, he or she shall refrain - even if not appointed as mediator - from intervening in the dispute in any other capacity, for example as a lawyer or expert.
